Women Who Pray Global – 2022 Annual Outreach Repor

Overview

Each year, Women Who Pray Global undertakes a nationwide outreach initiative to support the less privileged, orphans, and vulnerable women and children. A town and specific location are selected at random for visitation, where we provide spiritual, emotional, and material assistance according to identified needs.

2022 Outreach Summary

In 2022, Women Who Pray Global conducted its annual outreach at Helping Hands Orphanage, located in the Foncha Street neighborhood of Bamenda. The orphanage primarily serves children who have lost their parents and have been separated from their families, as well as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Bamenda and surrounding communities who fled their homes due to the ongoing socio-political crisis in the region. <br>

During the visit, our team engaged with more than 60 children and young adults ranging in age from 2 to over 27 years. Activities included prayer sessions, sharing the Word of God, interactive games, music, and fellowship designed to build relationships and encouragement.

Material support provided included: food items such as beans, bags of rice, and salt; hygiene products including bathing soap; back-to-school supplies; clothing; and other essential items to support the daily needs of the children and caretakers.

Impact and Reflection
This outreach was particularly moving for members of our team. Many of the women were deeply reminded of the daily privileges we often take for granted. In contrast, the children—despite being separated from their families and impacted by conflict—demonstrated remarkable gratitude, resilience, and joy. Their ability to embrace life with appreciation and happiness left a lasting impression on all who participated.
